Now, environmental ethicists don't need any reminding of the ways the free market can be debasing.

But if *you* want a reminder, I very much recommend "Venomous Lumpsucker" by Ned Beauman. A heart-wrenching, hilarious, terrifying piece of fiction on extinction, AI, commodification, and the future.
