2) Burn the ISO to a CD and use a generic USB CD drive.
3) Take the CF card out, create two partitions, "copy" the ISO image in one of them and then boot from the partiton with the recovery CD.

Hi! I will be totally honest: I don’t remember how I did it. 😄 (I'm working on other computers, so my memory shifted to those projects)
But here are some ideas of what I would try:
1) Flash the ISO image of the recovery CD to a USB flash drive, and try to boot from it.
