I'm surprised with how shiny the photos make her look because the paint was very matte and the colors were a bit more muted than I expected. I finally found a raw image editor that works the way I want, and I should actually get to posting more soon.

Finally time to watch Chainsaw Man! Round1 around here has the BiCute Bunnies alternate color Makima and I couldn't say no.

Just a couple of close ups on the plushies. I didn't expect the attention to detail. The little differences in their outfits, the paw sock embroidering, the different plush/fuzziness across everything.

THE MOORINA FUWAMOCO PLUSHIES!!!!! They are incredibly cute and with outfits that can maybe be changed later on depending on how willing I am to learn sewing. I even got a picture of the Gura, Ina, Mint, and Nimi plushies at Moorina's table. I haven't preordered I'm very tempted.

Prints, the classic artist alley haul. Miraculously all 11x17. I should take a picture of the stack I've collected over the years sometime. Oh that wall scroll from NTDanny was a very generous freebie I was very thankful for since I was torn on getting more prints by that point.

Shirts! Artbooks! I love artbooks, so many artists this year had so many good prints I wanted, but between my wallet and my wall space there was only so much I could buy. But books? That's like a whole wall all at once! Shirts? Comfy with some fun "Same Shirt!" meetings later.

Over the years I've taken to picking up as many charms, buttons, stickers, or pins and attaching them immediately to my lanyard or art tube. My lanyard was heavy, but my new art tube wasn't friendly to stickers so I switched to a sticker book. Fluffy buttons, moving pins, shaker charms, so cool.

I had quite a time at AX, now that I've recovered a bit. Time to share what I got. I tried to put business cards next to their associated merch but there is just so much, I'll be using the ALT text to mark specifically who did what. I wrote down who I could and aside from gifts I think it's accurate

Umamusume is almost here for EN! Here's a Twin Turbo, the more figures I see from this line the more impressed I get with their price point. Now I might want to try and find her Ichiban Kuji version too.

BOO! Take a look at a few of the other pictures I took along with the ones here at full resolution if you'd like on my website. andradore.org/index.php?/c...

I don't know how to feel about this one. It's really cute, has a nice bit of transparency in the ends of the hair and even a little in the hood. However that same hood, whether its the material or the paint, looks really cheap in person. The separate basket is nice though easy to use elsewhere too.

Forgot about the other pictures, I still really enjoyed how much of a difference her head's angle and the lighting can make for her perceived emotion.

Just one picture to try out HDR and this cute hanging lantern from Yell. I'm surprised with how the shot ended up since it needed to be pretty dark for the lantern to light Frieren enough. Her head is so unbalanced it's tough to set differently, and its pretty funny she needs a seat too.

Got a nice At ??? Time to build a deck for her. It's so hard to show the texturing on the card, between the gold and the actual texture variation it looks so good. #WIXOSS

They look so good! I can't wait to put them on my car. And a free Rizzler sticker too 👍

I just wanted to put this one up by itself really quick without edits. I just love how the lighting turned out. I have the Frieren version coming in the mail soon since I couldn't win it before the prize was cycled out. Also at least 9 other figures since I'm slow.

For a prize figure, the separated microphone stand and the gold tassels and other details make this one feel like a really good value. Part of me wants a version of this same one without the red overcoat because the shirt under that looks really cute too.

Not quite the season anymore, but she does sit somewhere between a Christmas look and a parade conductor look. I was surprised quite a bit by this one. It is fairly large, her twin tails make it really hard to set up next to other figures.

In particular I took this first rear-side shot and got mesmerized enough to take essentially the same shot again with just slightly different lighting. My only complaint comes to the dress and armbands, as good as they look here, under uniform light they just look like a cheap red plastic.

Splitting this one in two because I want the pictures to have space. I like this one, even though the dress isn't as glossy or saturated in normal lighting. It's perfect if you can set up a scene or directional lighting. Miku's body and hair are really well sculpted in this figure.

This one is actually really hard to sit properly. I wanted to put it inside my computer but any shaking will knock it over. I still think it's a pretty cool look. The transparent jacket looks great and the color strips on there make it feel more like "gaming" than "cyber"

The White Lily version feels very understated, very plain and cozy. I actually like it a lot. The comparatively simple clothing makes color contrasts play a bigger role, and the basic pose accentuates the small head tilt and makes the little peace sign feel a bit cuter.
April 3, 2025 at 11:00 PM
Oh here are the untouched versions as comparison, the warmth in the first one was almost wiped away after processing. But then in the second I cropped away the exposed edge and since it was a bracketed shot I was able to recover a bit of the overexposed bits too.
April 3, 2025 at 10:50 PM
I'm having trouble deciding on how much post processing I should put into the pictures I take. White balance is important, and If I don't touch the contrast it might feel flat. On some I've cleaned off stray dust. Anyway, I picked up a few Mikus from prize machines. The flower line is interesting.

Getting up close to this Miku, her skirt is incredibly short but the folds in the skirt do their best to cover where they can. Her transparent cardigan (is that right?) does wonders for the look falling between a swimsuit and a hostess/server. But the colors are very strong and hard to balance.
