Writing takes time. Great writing takes what I can only describe as the lived experience of infinity, getting closer and closer yet somehow never reaching it.

Curled up under a blanket in the cold and finished this today. I might not seem like the target audience for a time travel romance novel, but I so am. #greatbooks #booknerd #readers

And now… headed out to my local comic shop to stock up on winter-storm-weekend reads.

Just found this today, but I really like this nuanced take on AI art from @theoatmeal.bsky.social.

“Al is a tool, and like any tool, it can be used for good or for bad. Unfortunately, AI art seems to be headed toward the latter.”

I am loving the Pitt in its second season. I enjoyed the first season a lot, even though it took me a bit to get into it. Now, I can’t get new episodes fast enough.

It’s been forever since I had to binge a show the night an episode dropped. It’s how I end my Thursday nights now.

What a great, thoughtful post. This matches my experience with LLM coding agents. I also like the “I’ll be frank” line. I wish more devs would just admit it’s fun to play with, rather than going on and on about productivity and the use-it-or-be-left-behind rhetoric.
10 things I learned from burning myself out with AI coding agents. “Fifty projects later, I’ll be frank: I have not had this much fun with a computer since I learned BASIC on my Apple II Plus when I was 9 years old.” [arstechnica.com]

I guess there’s an ice and snow storm headed our way this weekend in Atlanta. I can no longer eat bread and milk so the run on those at the grocery won’t bother me.

What should I stock up on? Rice and fish? Yogurt and almonds?

What a great college football title game last night! Can we just move it off this crazy Monday, though.

I’ll be regretting this all day at work today.

Watching Miami vs Indiana in the college football title game tonight. And wow, the sound of all those Indiana fans! How do they outnumber Miami in their home stadium?!

Catching up on Fraction and Jiménez’s new Batman run today. Give me this all day long.

Happy MLK day, everyone!

This is my favorite holiday of the year, both for what it stands for and for the timing here in mid-January.

Was talking with a friend recently about missing Twitter. I’ve flapped between Mastodon, Threads, and here on Blue Sky. Nothing seems to stick.

Is it the missing network for me? Just not sticking with one long enough? I dunno. What am I missing?

Hickman was on my mind yesterday, from the Off Panel podcast I listened to, so started IMPERIAL this morning.
