As we record and close down our trenches in #GreenwichPark we are still finding some lovely #Roman #pottery including a stamped piece of #Samian (momo?) and some fine ware, possibly continental? #communityarchaeology #theroyalparks 👍🏻🏛️🌳❤️

But it has added valuable information to landscape setting of the #Roman 🏛️. On the last rise before #Blackheath and surrounded by old channels & springlines? So many more questions...that we'd love to answer during a 2026 season🙏🏻. For now here's a second #drone 📸 showing landscape to the south...

The #posthole mentioned above continues to be a source of fresh unabraded #pottery sherds on an abridged day 14 due to rain... giving time for some finds processing! This is a lovely little #samian sherd ❤️ #GreenwichPark #communityarchaeology 🏛️🌳
