Titles?

Usually, a title evolves while I'm writing the story. Sometimes, I also brainstorm with friends, tossing ideas.

In the case of #ChasingWildDreams I wanted to call it Dream Chasers or Wild Dream Chasers first, but that title was taken. So, it became this instead.

Dealing w/ imposter syndrome?

Yeah... I've no super advice here. I write for fun first and foremost, but ever since sharing my work with others, I've faced the occasional bout of "what am I doing here?"
Positive feedback helps. Concentrating on the story does, too.

What did you think when you succeeded?” He rolled his eyes. “I wasn’t exactly thinking much,” he muttered. “I just wanted to get away. Not be there. Be somewhere safe. Be invisible.” “Invisible?” She perked up. “That’s new. Maybe you cannot conjure up something corporeal, but can you hide someone?” He frowned. The words had been spoken carelessly, out of frustration. He had never thought about being invisible. He had also never tried, at least not consciously.

Besides reading and writing?
I used to travel a lot, but Covid put a stop to that and I haven't picked it up again. Aside from that, I run, hike, enjoy culture and science, friends and family.

Sometimes, I binge-watch, but not on a regular basis.

I'm a plantser!

For my historical novels, I need to plot more, need to know how I'll wave my story around the known facts.

For fantasy and dystopia, I can go wild and explore more while write. But at some point, I need to know where I'm heading, or it becomes a pain.

I can honestly write everywhere, as long as I can sit comfortably and put my laptop somewhere. Noise canceling earphones help me drown out voices.

But mostly, I write in my sunlit living room, which us the brightest, coziest room and has a fireplace, too 😁

Fantasy (low and high) as well as historical fiction are my favorites, both in reading and writing. I dabble a little in other areas. I almost always need/have a romantic subplot.
Never ever racial or LGTBQ+ slurring. Absolute no go.

It came close enough for him to make out some shapes — a flower, a… unicorn? “Incoming!” Vlad hissed. Cyn flared up, steeling himself. The wild dream stopped, irritated by the illusion of several potential dreamers in front of it, the weakest — a little child — sleeping in the middle. It could sense something was off, but its instincts were stronger. It dove forward, going straight for the child. The device slammed shut. Cyn let go of his breath, releasing his trickery. The illusions disappeared, leaving nothing but a small box on the pavement. He went to pick it up. “Capture,” he said, once he was sure the device was sealed, and grinned.
