I finally finished it after starting it 5 months ago then having to rewatch most of it bc I forgot everything in my post surgery haze. It’s rare for me to quite literally like everyone in the cast but this is a definite exception. There’s a few weak points but I’m willing to look past that easily.

Loved it. Would really be a high contender for my top 5 this year except for the fact I think it drags quite a bit in the middle. Even still it completely nails the landing and resonated quite a bit with me personally as well. Beautifully shot and Reinsve is fantastic.

No matter how many I get around to there’s always a really great exploitation film I somehow haven’t seen before. A really fun sleazy flick with the most agreeable vigilante I’ve ever watched. Contains the most beautifully shot scene of a dog being executed. Slow mo ending massacre was great too.

A film about how the idyllic suburban American life is nothing but a cheap role play built upon systematic violence seems awfully fitting for Thanksgiving. Much prefer this one to Eastern Promises even if Viggo doesn’t hang dong in this one. Really need to read the graphic novel someday lol

I think the idea of Knives Out sequels is much better than the reality of them. Benoit Blanc experiences the opposite of flanderization where he’s played so by the books detective that it just feels like it’s not Blanc at all. It’s cohesive enough but fails to be impactful in any meaningful way.

Hosted a Friendsgiving yesterday and very happy how everyone’s food came out and had a good time! April and my contributions were a brussel sprout and sweet potato salad, crawfish dressing, and turkey gumbo.

I’m late to this. It’s good but definitely more tiresome to binge as opposed to watching weekly I think which hampered my enjoyment a little. Utena’s a really fun MC and I wished I liked Kiwi at all/liked Korisu more. Magenta/Azura best. I wish there was more pissing but I liked all the spanking.

I hold Wright to an extremely high standard considering he made 2 of my fav movies and the best tv series ever. Sadly he hasn’t done anything truly great since TWE. That being said this is his best in over a decade and it’s a fun dumb ride the majority of time until it face plants the ending badly.

stressed out about a presentation at work all day long and it went totally fine. I plan on having another anxiety attack when I do this again for shareholders next week.
