Just your average Ralph.
And then immerse it in high-test peroxide.

There's also SS Ohio. She was dragged into the Grand Harbor on Malta with nothing but her cargo and two destroyers lashed to her sides as life preservers keeping her afloat during Operation Pedestal. Broke in half moments after they finished draining her tanks.

I read that they're only attacking empty ones to avoid causing a big environmental disaster.

Also fun fact: oil tankers can actually use their cargo to stay afloat after being damaged for a while because oil floats on water.

Something I've been thinking about is what it would be like to be a Japanese sailor on deck during Torpedo 8's attack. Having to just stand there and watch a squadron of enemy planes slowly overhaul you for 20 minutes while being unable to do anything about it seems like a really suspenseful scene.

That's a generalized you, not you specifically.

Maybe there should be a General Strike Holiday. All businesses are required to be open from midnight to midnight, but only managers are allowed to go to work. Remind people who's actually important.

I guess the people who clean buildings so you don't get sick, stock store shelves so you don't starve, build the homes you live in, maintain the roads and trains you use to go to work, and all the other cogs in the machine don't matter.

I wonder what it would be like if they all suddenly vanished?

Yes. I've heard it and it's really creepy...

Imagine how many homeless people we could shelter with that much money...

I was apprehensive about building a PC around a 6 year old motherboard I found at a thrift store. If it works I'll have dodged a bullet, though, because DDR4 ram is still affordable.

Hear me out: a 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser but with an electric motor, a massive battery, and modern amenities and safety systems.

There is nothing stopping us from doing that right now. Modern SUVs are station wagons with the serial numbers filed off to dodge emissions standards back in the 80s and wood paneling, real and fake, is still around.

Maybe make it a referral to Congress who must approve it with a 3/5 vote?

The cognitive dissonance is so vast it makes the Pacific Ocean look like a shot glass.
