I also remember noticing that the theme actually used to add certain functionality and was more than just a reskin. However, I can't quite remember what said features were.

I also remember that the theme used to change the experience so drastically that some effects were permanent and nothing but a reinstall could fix it.

Today, I can finally afford to buy actual figures and I own a couple of knockoff Optimus Primals (Original form and Transmetal 2), one Yolopark Primal from the recent movie and a handful of McDonald's transformers x Toy story figures.

TIL about ReBoot for the first time. I googled it, saw the animation and thought "hmm this looks like Beast Wars is it from the same era?" Turns out, it was. So I thought, hmm but wasn't Beast Wars considered like one of the pioneers of fully 3D shows.
