On social media, I don't assume my audience is dumb! I have to have knowledge about the science and talk about the why. I translate things and discuss the risks and impacts. I also discuss what could go wrong. Remember you are reaching people from all walks of life. #AMS2026

What advice would you give to students who might not know what path they want to go down yet? - Sometimes its about being open and seeing what opportunities come your way.. Your first job isn't going to be your last job. Start somewhere and build off of it #AMS2026

What are some lesser known and non-traditional ways to engage with NOAA outside of internships? - Reach out to mentors or NOAA employees and make direct connections. It doesn't hurt to see what they have to offer and get your name out there

How do you balance paying off your student loans and budgeting early in your career? Try to create a cushion. If you can, put some money into a high yield savings account. If you have a lower interest rate, then you might be able to pay it off slower. Build your emergency fund #ams2026
