Curious about most everything. Fiercely independent. Forager of wild foods. Former public school teacher turned data architect. Wary of social media at this point, fingers crossed. 🦋
The actual print, for reference. Also, his stuff is reallllllly fun. He's on Etsy.

What I (and maybe the 31% hesitant group) want to bring is clarity, coherence, execution, and care/support for people + excellent work. But what "wins" typically are empty performance dynamics. That's boring at best and soul killing at worst. Certain people are not going to sign up for that.

Would love to change that and bring up potential leaders. My own experience is that typical leadership roles haven't fit me either. I manage people well, and can execute on anything. But have an extremely difficult time with the substance-less politicking that often comes along. No patience for it.

100% see this. I say any system is designed for exactly the outcomes it's getting (intentional or not.) My gut is current leadership expectations and pathways are designed for sub-par leadership/mgmt + a perceived misfit btwn leadership roles & the hesitant 31% who may make great leaders.

Then I also think about how a $10k appendectomy sounds like a steal today.

Then I have to stop thinking about both of those things.

If that $10,000 could have gone into the S&P instead, (benefitting from a historic bull run) it would be worth roughly $53,000 today.

'I don't know' is a super power. But also I swear to you I've been in a gazillion meetings over the years with people who bluster on like an LLM. So at least it's familiar?

Also, the comments on this app are so freaking boring now. No nuance, just a different binary thinking. I sad about it.

It's like the mirror image of X now. Same song, different verse. Frustrating.
