It's wild how attached some people are to the idea of sorting everyone into 2 specific boxes when other variations exist. I don't know if it's more because it's easier to remember and people are intellectually lazy, or if it's still just about procreation and puritanism at this point. Probably both.

Denial of access to gender affirming care can have devastating effects, up to and including suicide. This is not and never was about protecting kids. It's denying people bodily autonomy to enforce the notion of an absolute gender binary.
