I was horrified, if this was done in any other workplace it would mean termination of your employment contract. Why do we not hold politicians to the same standards as the rest of us. It was just juvenile and awful to watch.

I think she knows that unless she changed direction she would lose her seat. This is purely self preservation and wanting to keep her position that has made her rich.
