For a long time I refused to get a cell phone because I didn’t want to be at my entitled bosses beck & call. I told HR I didn’t want to buy a cell phone and if the boss wanted me to have one the company or he could have to buy it. Damn —- hit ‘em in the pocket and suddenly the issue went away.

Well, back in the 1960s, late Dark Ages for many, I spent the summers at my Grandmother’s who had a vegetable garden. That garden was freaking gorgeous and productive. All the carrots were orange. Squash was yellow. Radishes were red. And green beans were — hold on to your hat — green.

I don't have a preferred burner on the stove because I hate the stove. It's one of those glass-top things that is slow to heat and slow to cool. You can't reduce the temperature, you have to take the damn pot/pan off completely and wait. A gas stove is not possible.
