Like we are on a sister’s trip right now in this moment and the other day we were talking about loaf.

My oldest sister was vegan when she was a young adult in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s. She offered to make a vegan main to go with the turkey one year. She called it “loaf.” I don’t recall what was in it because I was ~8 that year.

We still regularly tell her we’re still digesting loaf. I’m 44 now.

Anyway the color I need isn’t getting here until Tuesday so I guess it’s time to cast on another sweater 🫡

Here’s the body from a couple days ago. The pattern wants me to knit the sleeves flat and sew them together at the end. I understand why the pattern wants to do that….see how the center pattern seems to grow out of the border? The sleeves do that, too.

When I read that it made me think of my students at my old school. They’d be in Algebra 1 in 10th or 11th grade working on homework finding the zeros of an equation or something and adding up columns of 6s or 4s or 9s, etc.
