The real crime is I really did crush my baps 😞

Oh for the halcyon days of being briefly functional...

There are very, very few moments when I feel like a genuinely functioning adult with my shit together.

Going to a supermarket with a voucher that gives me money off when I spend over £20 and getting *just over £20* on my first try? Mmf, that's as good as it gets.

It definitely is distinctive but I'm not sold on it yet. It's very over the top, which is fine but it feels a little all over the place. In particular some of the tracks are bizarrely narrow and the City Trial game mode just ended without me even realising? It's... Odd.

Oh, is that on right now? I really have no idea what it actually is aside from 'kinda racing' so I'd be interested to try it out too

"Don't worry about the fact we regularly break webcams, audio, menus, and other stuff when we update Windows, it'll be fine when we're doing it with something sentient" is a fucking chilling sentiment.

I didn't realise it had a desktop version! Shows how much attention I've been paying 🤦

I've been using AIMP for the last year after the Google music player got utter guff, if you want to try another free one. Feels a little Winampy as you can change the skins. I'll have to check Musicolet too, to compare it 👌

I don't think Space Invaders had to deal with threading complexity either to be fair to them 🤣

Literally the music powers all the movement in that game, which powers all the workings of the puzzles. So the fast forward button is just that: it speeds up the music which speeds up the pulses almost as a side effect.

It was... Not fun to get that linkage working initially 🤣

Lol, yeeeeep. It's so hilariously baffling to see this repeatedly reported by people with exactly zero tech knowledge.

I missed your reply and basically said the exact same thing, so... +1 to this 😅

(Of course most design, especially in games and I assume theme parks, is about manipulating human behaviour in one way or another, and it's not by default bad or malign, but still I think the terms people come up with and how they get there can be telling/interesting!)

I'm pretty certain we're talking about the same story and I just used some hyperbole in my description of it! Mostly because I think it's a little gross he equated manipulating human behaviour by comparing customers to hungry dogs and I think it's good to point that out when talking about the term.
