Wondering if your study section cancelled? I update this sheet daily. As of today, 56/124 study sections that should have met since Jan 2, 2025 have "not met as scheduled." docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Do AML-based risk scores hold up for MPN-AP/BP treated w/ less-intensive therapy @bloodportfolio.bsky.social? We found:
-ELN24 had most robust performance for OS (C-index: 0.60)
-more work needs to be done to specifically develop risk scores for MPN-AP/BP!

In 2024 I shared a poem in JAMA Onc on giving bad news & the pain of loss when a child dies. It's the worst part of my job.

Cutting research & global aid funding + firing scientists, clinicians, & public health professionals = more children die.

Our leaders have my patients' blood on their hands.

I really hope foundation grants become a lot less biased/inbred. We need to be scrutinizing members of medical/scientific advisory boards against awardees.
