This new "more replies found" feature on mastodon conversations would be nice if it wasn't so intrusive, popping up over top of the replies I'm currently trying to read!

A scrollable column in the Mastodon web app "deck" view, with a post & replies, and a little pop-up notification box floating over top of the replies, saying More replies found, with a Show button and a close button. (The thread is a tongue-in-cheek one about museum heists, but that's only relevant because the replies are full of tongue-in-check snark that one actually might enjoy reading.)

Partial screenshot of the Firefox new tab page. The first in a row of shortcut link icons is highlighted. I've triggered the three-dots "Open menu" button associated with it. The resulting pop-up menu has options Unpin, Edit (highlighted), Open in a New Window, Open in a New Private Window, Dismiss, and Delete from History.

Two pieces of paper with large handwritten text. The first page has capital letters for half the alphabet, with various repeats trying out slightly different shapes. The second page has the words "Amelia's Brain Is Distracted Today" in title case followed by four variations on an exclamation mark. It was written using a fading wedge-tip black marker, creating thick strokes whose width varies by the angle, with an unexpected streaked effect reminiscent of brush strokes. In addition to the upstroke ribbon effect doing a figure-8 around the initial downstrokes, there are various other cursive flourishes on the letters, which are often the parts varied in the repeated takes trying out different versions of the letters.
