You remind me of the people who defended NYPD for waiting to fire Michael Pena, who admitted to sexually assaulting a woman by threatening her with his department issued glock, until after he was convicted by a jury that was only determining the degree of assault.

Atwater was saying southern white voters were becoming less racist, persuaded by more "abstract" economic issues that blunt direct racism, and that's how the GOP would capture them. He was totally wrong, but accidentally made an astute observation along the way.

Atwater was saying southern white voters were becoming less racist, persuaded by more "abstract" economic issues that blunt direct racism, and that's how the GOP would capture them. He was totally wrong, but accidentally made an astute observation along the way.

I've had clients come to me with AI drafted agreements that are nonsense: legally insufficient and unenforceable. I'm worried for the folks out there who have signed these things thinking they saved so much money on legal fees but are just holding a ticking time bomb if they ever end up in court.

The driver who had her arrested wasn't just following the law. He was known for the not uncommon practice of making Black passengers pay at the front, then dismount the bus to use the rear entrance, and sometimes driving off before they got back on. He did that to Rosa Parks herself years prior.
