When applied to fiction, it's important to learn lessons that carry over into real life perspective and interactions because this all doesn't exist in an isolated bubble. I can have fun AND make myself uncomfortable with internal reevaluation. I think that's healthy.

I know I talk about self reflection and personal understanding of privilege and whiteness and all that but the context is that I come from a household of racists and have a vested interest in not being like those freaks. So I see it as important to discuss that personal work and deconstruction.

I'm a big proponent that life is more fulfilling even if it's hard because hardship makes the good experiences so much more impactful and joyful. The satisfaction of learning something is amazing. I just don't understand why anyone would relinquish that opportunity to grow and express yourself.

Accessibility isn't an argument for using genai or the like to do the work for you because people with way more obstacles than you have time and again figured out how to create and build and learn without hallucinating robots to do the lifting.

And that's not the same as accessibility. Everyone should have accessibility to LEARN how to create art. You don't just start welding or driving or building anything without learning the how and why first but everyone should have access to starting that process without severe detriment.
