They want nearly a million pounds for it. There are wide open gaps where ceilings have collapsed exposing upper floors etc.

I don't know that that's true at all, since the overwhelming majority of users won't always be on the latest operating systems.

I have been finding that mandatory software (e.g. banking apps) have started only supporting the latest 2, maybe 3 versions of an operating system, forcing you to upgrade. It's quite frustrating. I suspect App store policies are playing their part here.

Can we point out the part where an iPhone 3-5 through cost 199eur for it's lower end model (the 5c cost even less!).

The iPhone 7 suddenly shot that price skywards to 649eur.

Now the 17 starts at 949eur and goes to 1499eur. It costs more than *rent*.

Germans often don't know what debit cards are and they sometimes confuse shopkeepers - because they somehow still use the EC card system which can only be used in person, so are totally reliant on credit cards or middleman services to do online purchases etc. German banking is stuck in the 80s.

Nordic countries have higher credit card use rates than the rest of Europe, but it's still not the norm. 98% use debit cards, 63% have credit cards, but don't necessarily use them.
