in this scenario I'm imagining also a method of civil partnership that's easier to get into and out of than traditional marriage and more just about the formalising the Business & mutual rights side; a contract you might sign if you get a mortgage together

Hes involved in the comics version I believe but it wouldn't have made sense continuity wise to have Ross in both given he goes all Hulk in CapAm. Where/when in the process this decision was made - before they decided the roster, during pre-prod or 5 days before release - is anyone's guess

What I'm saying is my script for Spiderman 3 would be about how once they realise they can put the Evil Switch in a case & put a big red Stop button on it, OsCorp has revolutionised construction with the octocrane.

Spidey2 features two of my favourite genre conventions, where the scientist has invented 2 incredible things but nobody is at all interested in the actually useful one (intelligent robot arms) let alone building more than one of them.
