I couldn't agree with you more! It used to be one of my favourite places. They had one room where you could stay with your dog - many a lovely stay without worrying about driving home. And the food was faultless. Too many pubs have lost their identity and become something that isn't really a pub.

Years ago, when The Gurnard's Head had different owners, I had twice baked cheese soufflé. It was delicious; your picture just reminded me!
On the other hand, my Dad could make a Majestic Proper Cheese Soufflé. I still miss him very much (soufflés aside).
