Researching 1950s sex ed films for a chapter I'm working on. This important message comes from "Molly Grows Up" (1953). Anyone on their period right now: only moderately fast games for you! Also important to know that washing your hair is, in fact, safe to do.

Getting back to my research...I cannot state how much I love the Women's Magazine Archive. This is from a 1958 Ladies' Home Journal issue, capturing a postwar moral panic over increased teen pregnancies. 1957 was a high for teen pregnancy in the US.
