I know it's a bit of a rubbish toy, but this children's tea set is one of the things we found earlier. It's 1950s, and it is perfect in every detail, solid, just child sized. And I listed this 19780s book of fairytales last week. That's the inside cover. The detail work just gets me.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 19 is a simple bracelet, with some of my favourite beads of the year. Both the howlite and the frosted glass beads are matt finish, but the central layer in the frosted glass makes the beads glow pink on one side, and yellow-hued rainbows on the other.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 18. I've been showing pieces that play with light for this tag. This bracelet doesn't play with the light, it throws it around. Hematite cubes with a mirror shine, and honestly the shiniest chunky pink glass beads I've ever seen. An antidote to the grey, dark, days.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 17. Last of the light playing necklaces today. This one is made with oval tiger's eye beads and tiny peach toned glass crystals. The tiger's eye has such a depth to the shine, with the tiny crystals for a little added sparkle.

Bracelets from tomorrow. Shop link in bio.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 16. This is one of my favourite pieces, because the blue glass tube beads are just beautiful. The shine they have makes them look almost liquid filled. The black/clear crackle glass beads and tiny blue glass crystals complement them, and play with the light in different ways.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 15. For stones that play with the light, you can't beat labradorite. The stones are an interesting colour, understated. They remind me a little of river water... in a good way. Then the light hits them differently and they're rainbows and icy blue shine. Truly beautiful beads.

Join the dark (literally) side!! Or don't if it's not good for you. It works so much better for me. My days are mostly 2pm-6.30am.

Ooh, I promised you pictures of Christmas tree 'chaos style' and you can't send pics by dm here

Sending out orders right up until last posting, if you're still looking for last minute Christmas gifts.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 14 is another necklace that plays with the light. Blue goldstone has a coppery sparkle, and the frosted glass beads were one of my finds of the year. They have a central layer that makes them glow pink on one side, with a yellow-hued rainbow sheen on the other.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 13. I love working with hematite. It's cool, smooth, shiny, weighty, and very tactile. In this piece it's paired with the sparkliest half-coated glass crystals that shine with yellow and purple hues in the light.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 12. Crackle glass beads aren't the most expensive beads, but they're so pretty and the way they play with light is wonderful. To enhance the shine and reflective qualities, they're pairs with smooth, weighty, chunky, hematite swirl beads.

A very grainy video of the galaxy light projection on the ceiling. It does different patterns and colours.

#ArtAdventCalendar Day 11. I love the contrast between the gentle sheen on the not-quite-matt dark purple stone beads, with their brown/black marbling, and the extremely shiny pearlescent white magnetic hematite barrels beads. I've done a few of this design, but only one in each colour.

I seem to have gone with a 'Necklaces that play with the light' theme for #ArtAdventCalendar, so I'll stick with it for day 10 (some bracelets might show up later, maybe a suncatcher). This one is irregular blue goldstone beads with matt pearlescent pink magatama beads for texture as well as colour.

Day 9 of #ArtAdventCalendar is another necklace that plays with the light in interesting ways. There's something about these glass tube beads, their shine is almost liquid, and enhanced by the silver coloured faceted glass crystals.

I'm not getting salesy on this tag, but shop link is in my bio.

Day 8 of #ArtAdventCalendar (even though I only joined in yesterday). It's making me think hard about what to share and why. Most of my work is fairly simple, but I like combinations that play with the light, like these faceted pale pink ovals and the faceted silver glass crystals between them.
December 9, 2025 at 12:45 AM
Ok, I'm going to do my first #ArtAdventCalendar post before bed. I made this necklace a few weeks ago, and it has such a period drama vibe for me. It's glass pearls and half-coated faceted glass crystals.

That cancelled TV show you'll never stop thinking about.

I don't share a huge number of products from my shop on here, but I'm really proud of the new Christmas decorations I've been working on, so I wanted to show this one off.

Taking part in this over on FB next month. It's in support of a really good cause and, if the last one is any indication, will be crammed full of talented creators. It's free to join as a customer, so please share and pop in if you can.

This is definitely me, but I will never stop trying to help if I think I can. Sometimes it gets me my feelings hurt. And sometimes it hurts when I realise I don't always have the support system I try to be. But sometimes I get to help, so it's worth the other stuff.

Picked a pack of these up in the grocery shopping, on offer this week. Can't afford them at full price, sadly, but they're amazing.
