And emitting ozone… I’ve been down a Reddit rabbit hole! Yeah my Homedics I can’t sleep through even with ear plugs. The Philips night mode is almost silent but no air movement 🤔

Fab. I have original Homedics running but it is loud. I bought the Philips 1000i but not happy with the whirring so sending it back. Will try Smartair I think. Was looking at Blueair and Conway but mixed reviews and terrible TrustPilot scores

Closed windows don’t make much difference to me as I have draughty Victorian sash windows with single glazing and chimneys in every room!

Yes I agree, it has taken a very dark turn with all his meddling. I’ve emailed a local councillor about the wood burners as the whole area stinks of smoke and the readings tonight are madness.

Hey, sorry! Forgot to look back for answers as I mostly use Twitter 🤦♀️. It definitely seems to be cooking and cooking with alcohol (beef in ale) made it go crazy. Annoyingly someone has a wood burner and my road stinks of smoke, so if I open a window the PM value goes sky high 😡

I’m totally puzzled as I couldn’t smell cooking smells upstairs. Also it cleared pretty fast on its own upstairs, once I’d stopped cooking but has freaked me out as an air quality score of 0/100, when normally nearly perfect, is very worrying. If anyone has ideas, let me know!

I put the air purifier on downstairs which showed high PM levels which dropped to low/good over around ten mins thanks to the purifier. Bedroom readings stayed catastrophic. About an hour later I brought the monitor downstairs and air quality was good. Took it upstairs, now fine.

Everything seems to be working fine now that I’ve updated the app (which also prompted me to verify my email). One of those amazing times when updating the app actually DOES solve everything 😂
