Pure cinema. I do kinda hate that the big baddie of the show was not this lovecraftian monster, but just some guy. Bring back the Mindflayer for season 5. Dustin and Lucas getting big emotional scenes was great, and both actors ate it up.

Still annoying that other characters get pushed to the side in order to make room for this new character that was killed off anyway. Master Of Puppets scene in the Upside Down was epic though. Dear Billy is definitely the best episode of the season. Max escaping Vecna to Running Up That Hill?

Why are we reverting back to a love triangle that was resolved multiple seasons ago? I’m over it. Eddie was a fine character, but damn he had way less screen time than I remembered.

Why does Nancy suddenly fancy Steve again? These people never even interacted in the previous season. I wouldn’t mind it as much if it wasn’t so forced. We even got other characters to constantly comment on and remind us that these two “clearly” fancy each other. Please. Horrible writing.

Now Steve and Nancy… Just please stop. I hate it. It was very well established that Nancy never loved Steve in season 2 and was over it the moment she kissed Jonathan, if not before. Steve was over Nancy by season 3. So why is Steve suddenly still in love with Nancy?

Hopper is back to his old self, thank god. I like Dmitri and I’m sad we won’t see him again. His actor was sexy af. I like Hopper and Joyce together, but I would not be making out with that man before he took a shower and brushed his teeth.

Mike was the leader and one of the main characters the first 2 seasons. Now he’s just..there? This is what happens when you keep introducing new characters each season, but refuse to kill off old characters. You end up with too many characters, and some of the main characters get pushed to the side.

Season 4 is objectively better than season 3, but I have some beef. I hate how the group is split. I hate the California plot. I hate how Jonathan, Mike and Will’s characters gets reduced to side characters to make room for other characters.

Dacre Montgomery delivers some of the best acting in the entire show. Billy sucks, but Dacre’s acting is amazing. Overall very different from the first two seasons, and even though it’s the weakest season, it still got some of the best moments of the show.

Love that they straight baited us with Steve and Robin, and Robin coming out to Steve is just such a great scene. Steve immediately putting his feelings aside and starts roasting Robin’s old crush is just peak bestie behaviour. I LOVE The Battle of Starcourt, hands down one of my favourite episodes.

Completely butchered Hopper’s character though. Why is this man suddenly acting like he got lobotomised? Russian plot is kinda ridiculous, but I love Robin, Steve, Dustin and Erica teamed up. Will’s character is just kinda pushed aside, and Mike is reduced to El’s boyfriend.

Bob Newby my beloved, your death was so unnecessary. Pairing up Steve and Dustin? Absolute boss move. Mike and El reuniting, the snowball… oh my heart. Mindflayer is still the best villain.

Season 3 is… something. Honestly it’s the weakest season, a bit too goofy at times, but still very enjoyable.

Season 2 is the only season on par with the first. Noah Schnapp’s acting in this season? Best acting of all the child actors. Don’t know what happened to his acting in the other seasons. Dacre Montgomery acting is amazing. Max is introduced. Nancy and Johnathan getting together? We all cheered.
