Pancake Update: we went to the vet today to follow up on her ears. Not infected but might just be a dirty girl and I need to clean them once a week. Gotta keep an eye on them. If all goes well she won't go back to the vet until her annual check up next fall 🙌 puma gave her a bath when she got home

Writing Update: after a really long, mentally messed up year, with lots of desperation and attempts to write, I have finally broken through. I've written almost 6k in the last 2 days. I'm really jazzed about my project. Obviously it'll need lots of edits, but I feel good about it!

Writing Update: after a really long, mentally messed up year, with lots of desperation and attempts to write, I have finally broken through. I've written almost 6k in the last 2 days. I'm really jazzed about my project. Obviously it'll need lots of edits, but I feel good about it!

Pancake Update: she saw her first snow today. So glad she's not out in it. She isn't really sure what to think about it - it was only flurries. I think once we get some nice fat snowflakes she'll take more interest. She did enjoy looking out at the snowy landscape though!

Pancake Update: last night I left her out overnight for the first time and she did great! She seems to understand bedtime, and even climbed into bed and snuggled me at one point. The cats did wake me up at 5am which I'm not pumped about, but she's officially out for good!

Pancake Update: she loves her brothers scratching bed and is learning about TV, mirrors, and slowly winning her 2 brothers over. Cheeto will take some time. Puma is already playing with her a little.

Pancake Update: She's a little high energy for her brothers still, but after some play time together puma and pancake are both more relaxed around each other.

Placed my first order from @purlsoho.bsky.social after a long time lurking & loving their free patterns and I could not be more impressed! Packaged great, came with the cotton bag and a free sample (the gray yarn) - the scissors are mine. The yarn is super soft! Jazzed about my WIP! #amknitting

Pancake Update: so far so good. No issues with her appetite and still pooping, it's been 7 days. Her incision is healing really well and she has tons of energy. I got some yuck sour spray to curtail some of her wire chewing habbits and it's working great. Next fecal is in ~1 week.

Pancake Update: she's fine. Got home yesterday around 330pm and slept all night. Vet said no surgery suit or cone bc it can make some cats more manic and just monitor her. If she loses her appetite bring her in immediately, but they think it'll pass fine.

They were not concerned about the hyperactivity because that is a possible side effect for some cats (new to me!), and it can take 24-36 hours to wear off. Here she is finally being slightly chill at around 630. We watched the sunrise together before going to the vet.

But look how cute she is! Also she's now 7.2 pounds! I think she's gunna be a big girl but we'll see! The vet said to get feeder toys for after her spay because she'll gain weight easier and she's getting super bored in that room. Hopefully Nov 18 we'll get a negative Giardia result. ✨ MANIFESTING ✨

Pancake update: she's way too smart for her own good. Today she figured out how to open my cabinet (which is now taped shut). She also knows that door handles are what open the doors and frequently jumps at the handle in her room. Fortunately it's old and hard to turn. Vets on wed!
