This happens to our ginger & white, and we always put it down to clambering about inside conifer hedges!

I visited the Dans la Seine exhibition under Notre Dame yesterday, and was really struck by the similar early developments of Paris and London from a broad meandering river full of islands to a Roman trading port which then expanded. Great exhibition, highly recommended. Not cool though 🥵

I can highly recommend Dans la Seine exhibition in the archaeology museum under Notre Dame. It was a bit warm, so go in well-hydrated (ironically) but a really good overview of early Paris/Seine history. Lots of boaty stuff too.

Someone in a private group has asked about the whereabouts of this axe, with embedded linen texture (it's NOT in the @dorsetmuseum.bsky.social catalogue apparently).

I'm sure I've seen a reference on here recently- most likely in a metalwork thread, so @tessmachling.bsky.social ?
Any clues anyone?

I skivved off a couple of sessions of #ironagedialogues yesterday to find this in Bute Park. I didn't realise there were two (should have completed my desk-based properly before ground-truthing...)

I think it *might* be this. He washed up on the beach, and I think from memory the dates agree to a German attack on the village of East Meon (probably mistaken for the HMS Mercury site), and the launch of a couple of intercepting aircraft from... Tangmere🤔? (Wonders where notes are... 🤔🤣)

This is the price for 1kg. Even basic supermarket own-brand actual butter is pushing £8/kg.
