You should go on strike
@alvincarpenter.bsky.social
Strikes are popular. Every time there isn't a strike happening someone should be saying "I miss strikes, do you know when the next strike is?"
Pod: "it's good that the budget adds a quadrillion dollars to war spending."

Lockheed Martin, handing over sack of cash: "ok make sure you put our name on this show"

Putting workers on boards without giving workers leverage will have workers coming out behaving like bosses.

Repealing 107 isn't nearly enough. We shouldn't have restrictions on mid term strikes, solidarity strikes, and political strikes. A general strike should not be illegal.

Yeah I'm trying to say one thing on it's own shouldn't be a gotcha, and what they're also talking about is source skepticism. There are posters (and students) who never have the style or technical bits of writing minus their llm slop, and then don't adapt llm output to fit their voice or audience.

Maybe a better way of saying it is chatgpt to me has the facade of competent writer effort. Like what a bad writer thinks good writing is. Looks like a lot of effort for mediocre output.

It's just that most people don't put competent writer effort into posting. On their own maybe not a big deal but when you see it all in one post it's definitely a tell.

Meh. Lougheed then denied rights to public sector workers through legislating against their right to strike - with no Charter at the time to challenge him under, just like Danielle Smith is today. He doesn't deserve this lionization.

Yeah you have to assume that 2% is exagerrated and/or possible under similar non AI investments in productivity.

Narrator: "In a shocking twist, it turned out that the media didn't care that the President raped children, because corporations realised the child rapist was even more corrupt than them, and could easily be bought. Sexually abusing children is just fine if there's a profit to be made"
