I need to remind myself that Shakira and I were born less than a week apart. And that genetics gifted us similarly.

This historian is amazing. I feel like watching her documentary series has given me more insight into America than countless hours of modern news media.

I can't believe I turn into "1 less than half a century" in 2 weeks.

I don't even know the term for my age- related gayness condition.

Elder queer, Post-gay, Twink Lich, honorary lesbian?

I should ask my partner, 🤔... he's 3 years older and has been gay undead for a while now.

Just watched the DS9 documentary, which has been out for a bit. I got chills with scenes with Sisko, Dax, Kira, Odo, Quark...

I also remembered my pre-teen feelings about Doctor Bashir, before I understood what that all meant. (I found Gul Dukat hot too, which hey I'm kinky now... it tracks)

Such a conflicted situation. A thing which I think should happen, occurring in a way that also feels intensely violating.

My Hero Academia (final)

This isn't a surprise, I consider this one of the best shonen ever made. The ending is satisfying and nuanced. The metaphor of "quirks"is about self acceptance and also how the world sees us. The conflict that arises from that. ~fin~

Gachiakuta

This anime is so interesting, the mangaka Kei Urana, is subversive and radical in their art. So many things to love... gender radical, great design, soundtrack, emotional... I mean what is trash really? We divest the meaning of an object... but flip that?

WindBreaker (season 2)

This is a great delinquent/fighting anime that pushes the shonen genre. The new Tsubaki Arc introduces a non-conforming character who is accepted by their peers. Truly amazing story line and new friend for Sakura and the crew.

Watching this educational series on the future of space... I'm so conflicted.

We appear to be banking on the ultra rich to drive space tourism/commercialization, then as a mere byproduct we might get benefits for all of humanity and scientific advancement.

It's just so real how humans do things...

Tojima wants to be a Kamen Rider

I ❤️ this seinen show. It's this nostalgia taken too far meets sentai love meets failure to overcome childhood trauma to awkwardness as pure comic relief. It stays true to itself and females are real people breaking the genre.

Dandadan (Season 2)

Season 2 is all about Okarun's growth (Momo sees this and gets a bit feral 😋) as well as expanding the roster. The Jiji arc has some great fights and you sense the evolution of everyone (even Aira). Female characterization is amazing here too.
