Thoughts on pro-cycling/cyclists, Fantasyplayer
This is ProTeam Burgos Burpellet BH bike in 2026. I'm sure there is a reason for the design of the forkes being forced forward. But, it aint pretty.

The one thing i didn't want to see happened. Damn tired of UAE wiping the floor with everybody else.

This is French Continental team Van Rysel Roubaixs 2026 bike. As close to a five as it gets.

Patrick Eddy is the new Australian champion. Interestingly, he left the Team Picnic organization after four years, during which he never came close to winning. Is this another sign that the Dutch organization is among the weaker ones in pro cycling? I’ll be watching for more examples in the future.

This is Norwegian Team Drali - Repsols new bike. Looks like a CUBE Litening Aero. On a 1-5 scale, i give it a three. Not a fan of clearcoated dark blue or black bikes in general.

This is the new bike for Italian ProTeam Solution Tech NIPPO Rali. Actually a brand i never heard of or seen before. Generally do not like full white or silver bikes. But, i like the frame geometry.

Bike company Cubes contract with Team TotalEnergies is a super short one, only 1 year. Indicates that no new team sponsor has been identified when TotalEnergies leaves after 2026 season.

Just to be clear. For the Women World Teams, the max amount of riders is 22 (20+2 neo-pros). And after August 1 the opportunity exist in signing additionally 2 stagiaires. Therefore a WWT can have a total of 24 riders each year. Do not remember if i ever have seen that.

Looking at it from a three-year perspective, it’s pretty clear which ProTeams have their sights set on the WorldTour. Who’s going all in with the maximum number of signed riders?
-Cofidis
-Pinarello - Q36.5
-Tudor
-Unibet Rose

You could argue for TotalEnergies also, with only 28 riders signed.

Now, this is a beutiful bike. Really like Human Powered Healths new FACTOR OSTRO VAM.
December 16, 2025 at 2:44 PM
Regarding talk about Derek Gee going to Lidl-Trek. If UCI's rule of 28+2 neo pros still applies, someone already under contract needs to be demoted to dev team. Because only one of the five new riders is a neo pro, Jacob Söderqvist.

When UCI is ranking the teams. The rule is the 8 best riders total points over the year count. This is my attempt at trying to name those 8. There are, in 2026, 14 WWT's.
14 x 8 = 112 riders
2024: 89 correct
2025: 88 correct
Goal is to percentage-wise do better than previous two years.

See that Lotto Intermarché is not adverse to hiring cheaters. Toon Aerts is on the roster. As far as i know Jean-Francois Bourlart is GM and the guy with final say. I'm going to take a closer look at his record in matters regarding this subject.

Young and very talented Nienke Vienke goes to SD Worx. Pretty sure she was under contract with Team Picnic for 2026. She must have been bought out from that contract. It's very obvious that something is up with Team Picnic. Poor finances or horrendous culture? Maybe both?

After Peter Sagan retired, the faces of Specialized is Evenepoel and Vollering. Rumour has it that Soudal-Quickstep is going to ride on Merida bikes after 2026. And that is the real reason Evenepoel is leaving. Looks even worse if he leaves after 2026-season. It's all about optics and money.

Thread trying to predict the UCI Team Ranking of the ProTour Teams for 2026. Top-20 riders on each team is counted as per the rules of UCI.

Thread trying to correctly predict the ranking of UCI Womens World Teams in 2026. The UCI Team Ranking is what counts. Best 8 riders total points is the rule.

Who is going to be the best team in the world? Now more than ever a rhetorical question. Anyway, this is a thread trying to predict the ranking of the 18 WorldTour teams for the 2026 season. Best 20 riders total points on each team is counted.

Now that Premier Tech has left Sylvan Adams WorldTeam. The Canadian company decided to sponsor St Michel - Preference Home - Auber93 in the 2nd division. Team already signed three Canadians. I guess the Normand sisters is next.

Rumours say that Bahrain is ditching Merida in favor of Bianchi. Damn, was glad i'd not see that Oltre RC ugliness, until now. Even crazier rumours is that Soudal - QuickStep is changing bike after 2026, to Merida. New Merida model coming, that the Belgian team had a say in designing? Otherwise why?

New American ProTeam Modern Adventure Pro Cycling released list of contracted riders. And it's not that impressive of a bunch. But, i guess you got to start somewhere. Brothers Hincapie central in the team. Have them in the bottom half of ProTeam ranking at first glance. Final ranking comes in Dec.

Alison Jackson going to St Michel-Preference Home-Auber 93 is a strange one. The connection must be Cannondale.

With the expected merger between Lotto and Intermarche teams in place. Though not yet ratified. A silent but fierce fight is taking place between Uno-X and Cofidis. Right now the Norwegian team is leading. Winner gets the final WorldTour spot coming 3 years.
October 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Official now. All three teams of Arkea B&B Hotels is seizing operations. Do not know what happens to Anders Foldager next year. But i'm sure if he was going to Uno-X, it would have been made public by now. But Embret Svestad Bårdseng should be a rider the Norwegian team goes after.
