(1) I spent 20 years in the military over a 30 year time span, 12 active duty in the Marines, 10 years out after the GHW Bush post Gulf War reduction in force, 8 years in the N. Guard with 2 of those being on active duty after 9/11. Carter was the only Democratic president during my service.
