This volume includes 25 papers on key transitions from friends and former students relating to Roger Matthews’ research across Iraq, Iran, Syria and Türkiye.

We very much enjoyed springing the surprise on Roger in a special workshop at #ICAANE in Lyon. Our huge thanks to all who contributed!
