What's the deal with movies/series hiring definitely not French-speaking actors to play French roles? It's so obvious and removes me from the story

Gave two talks, prepared another one and animated a BOF at FOSDEM this weekend. I'm running on fumes an very few hours of sleep. As always the hallway track was the most interesting and probably impactful. Time will tell 😉

I love the somewhat recent trend in software engineering of realizing that performance actually matters and that computers are so much faster than we think.
The heaps of Python code I have to deal with are sometimes a bit demoralizing, but it's at least a valuable challenge. One day it'll be good.
