#GoAllIn2026 Book 2 finished - slightly out of season but something I wanted to read close to Christmas. Actually my first book by the Reverend Richard Coles, so I now have to go back and read all the others.

Accidentally-on-purpose off caffeine today until about an hour ago.
Cold turkey not too bad this time. I think I can cope going forward.
(I didn't mean to go cold turkey today, but I made it pretty far through and decided I may as well. The tea drunk was chaii as part of a thaali, so necessary)

I bought the cats some delightful treats for Christmas - some turkey flavoured biscuits, and Christmas themed Webbox licky lix. Boycat has demolished a licky lick. Girlcat (who is scared of the licky tubes) has turned her nose up at everything except Dreamies and some of my breakfast smoked salmon.

My first year of serving at Christmas is done, as unlike most people I tend not to venture out to church on Christmas morning, and - hurrah - I am not needed at 10:15.

Bit annoying that my coat looks way better on a mannequin at work than it does on me. Kudos to fun colleagues who moved it to my (shared with @ruthdotbutler.bsky.social ) desk to somewhat terrify me at the end of the day.

I can finally announce some news - back in September I was interviewed to be a member of Chapter at Gloucester Cathedral (I mentioned on here that it was a nerve-wracking day). I am thrilled to say that I was offered the position. It's entirely voluntary, and I'm excited for the new challenge.
