If you're struggling with your mental health and in the UK you can call the Samaritans on 116 123, and you don't need to be suicidal to do so.
Left-leaning Non-Binary Cumbrian.
Be nice or be blocked.
I also block to protect my mental health.
Retro setup progressing towards beta version, HiFi still to wire in and only injury sustained so far is a pinched little finger on left hand resulting in the most inconsequential blood loss.

As is often the case I keep changing my mind with my retro desk setup layout - but one thing for certain, I need more desk, hence the additional bit.

Further iterations should eventually provide a happy compromise.

One set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky later and this Westfield strat-copy guitar thing plays surprisingly well.
It's definitely growing on me.

As retro gaming setups go this is incomplete and not perfect, but definitely usable.

On this day two years ago:
I started ripping out the manky old moldy ceilings from the kitchen/diner
- a messy job.
Have to recommend that you don't do this while wearing a V-neck dress, the grime gets everywhere...

No Aurora yet, a few stars and a little haze / mist? in the air, 2°C and 90% humidity according to a nearby weather station.

I heard that when eating processed meats its wise to be mindful of the number of sausages you have,
so decided on just one with my two eggs - in this case a Cumberland sausage from Hamblings in Whitehaven.
NOM!
Thoroughly recommended.

4. Intonation
5. Electrics
6. Top strap-button Hot-Glued in

Tonight's dish
- inspired by a Café in Kalo Chorio near Hersonissos in Crete
- is my first attempt at a Cheese & Chip Omelette, with Chips, & although it highlights my lack of Spatula (making impossible for me to easily flip and breaking it apart in the process),
I have to say it was absolute NOM!

Well if you like fish sharing options are available!
October 29, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Tonight I was sensible and let someone else cook fish and chips...

= This is my current favourite Pub Restaurant Fish, Chips n Mushy Peas, and it's from:

The Waterford Arms,
Seaton Sluice (near Whitley Bay)
Northumberland

If you like books, 2nd-hand / antique / random books & are visiting the Lake District or Cumbria I strongly suggest adding in a detour to Michael Moon's Bookshop in Whitehaven - as it has over a mile of shelves with books on & piles of books AND is run by lovely people!

Reposts Appreciated!

I decided to try a new take on that classic, Fish n Chips with Mushy Peas (and Cheese & Gravy).

The Chips Cheese n Gravy was absolute NOM!

The Fish & Mushy Peas was the absolute opposite...

For those in the UK that may worry about international travel:

I got back last night from Lanzarote via Newcastle International Airport, travelling on my passport that mismatches my identity & presentation yet no problems at all & everyone lovely.

Recommend Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote, especially
