A geology book I recommend frequently is Timefulness by
Marcia Bjornerud. Nonfiction, looks at our relationship to time and how we understand it in geological terms. The author advocates for improving our understanding of geologic time as part of confronting our role in climate change.

Thank you for the recommendation! Along with a lifelong love for geology, I was one of the many kids who thought that being a palaeontologist would be an ideal career, so this sounds like a fun read.

Amazing to see this! On my trip to Churchill a couple years ago we didn’t get to see any sparring action, but one of the researchers in our group shared the theories (play, practice, sizing each other up) about this behaviour which is apparently fairly unique to the Churchill polar bear population.
