Crystal faced a negligent landlord. Angelo faced skyrocketing rent. Both were at risk of homelessness, until they found Keep People Housed–Oakland.

Since 2018, the program has supported 7k+ households, with 93% still housed a year later. 🏡 Prevention works. 💪🏼

The All Home team was up bright and early yesterday to volunteer for 2026 @alamedacountyca.bsky.social point-in-time Count — a critical effort to understand how many people are experiencing homelessness in our region.

A heck of a chart: in every single one of the 10 major US cities that built the most housing between 2017 and 2023, rents for older, existing units fell—often by quite a bit.

HUD withdrew the CoC NOFO—but the threat to federal homelessness funding isn’t over.
