It's good to get away from a one-size-fits-all approach where Transit-sized vans are used by default even if not needed. This smaller vehicles use far less energy, take up less road space, and cause a lot less damage to road surfaces. Oh, and they're safer for people walking and cycling too!

Great, thanks! I see a lot of these kinds of micro electric delivery vehicles in cities elsewhere in Europe so it's exciting that they're starting to appear here too. Cruzcampo beer deliveries in Sevilla seem to be almost entirely done by electric trikes!

We recently wrote to Newcastle City Council about the impending resurfacing of the busy Fenham Hall Drive/Wingrove Road junction, asking if there will be any improvements for walking and cycling as part of the resurfacing works. It's important to keep making these points!

I was at Cramlington hosp. for a meeting on Monday. Northumbria NHS Trust are working on sustainable travel for staff and patients to reduce demand for car travel. Housing can be delivered without increasing car use. I cycled from Seaton Deleval station and there is no safe cycle route. Priorities?
