Seriously, though, moving from a small expensive mountain town to a medium-sized expensive mountain town doesn't feel like it's going to do much to reinvigorate a festival that has felt more and more insular over the years

Realized I recced the very book you mentioned because my phone cut off the bottom of your post — while it’s clunkier and doesn’t stick the landing, Thomas Olde Heuvelt’s HEX, which was localized to New York state when translated, has nevertheless stuck in my head
