We went to Tarifa this year. We saw Swallows flying over the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa, often alongside the boat. It made me quite emotional because I celebrate their arrival at home.

I am getting reports from my friend who is at the YP conference. She said it's like being at junior school being told off in assembly. It's undemocratic, the chairs are patronising, the maneuvering at the top is causing problems. YP is in danger of taking Stalinism to a whole new level. Won't join!

Agreed! I have not experienced any bigotry or misogyny from any member of the SWP. Quite the opposite. There should be no platform for bigotry on the left. Parliamentary politics always seem to "compromise" chasing elections.

I know all about this. I am not about to tar and feather every SWP member because of it. I have had nothing but positive interactions with the SWP, they have been instrumental in the anti fracking, anti-racist movement locally. Without their efforts, time and dedication sod all got done.

Sorry but that is a sweeping generalisation. The SWP locally has been a driving force for the anti-racist movement and fighting fracking. Without them often nothing gets done!

So many complex issues to overcome. The left needs to get their act together and act in unity and solidarity. Bigotry has no place on the left.

They always trot that out! Sweeping generalisation about every member of the SWP. Your experience of members of the SWP is vastly different to mine. If SWP members are brilliant at campaigning with fighting fracking locally. Using their time and energy making banners and getting people together.

All well and good if you can afford a decent dehumidifier. Some people can barely afford to feed and cloth themselves and their families. That's even when they are working :-(

Also more likely to give harsher sentences if they are hungry! They are more likely to have class or racial bias. 🤷
