My daughter and I arrived at 12.20, we were probably standing next to each other at some point! Definitely one for a second visit.

Laburnum.... it was a tree from an Oxford college. The pipes have a few siblings made from the same tree; I liked their tone.

You could follow Bishop Wulfstan of York’s example & proclaim an brilliantly firey sermon on the evils of the world (or the evils of X): “hēr syndan wiccan and wælcyrian; & ryperas and reaferas ...etc” (just keep alliterating until you run out of characters)

A fantastic church, I stumbled across it once when I saw "saxon church" in the road atlas and had to drive for an hour to investigate!
