I did one example where students who reported receiving a flu vaccine this season (a question on the pre class survey) were vaccinated in the simulation. And yes I used some network visualizations as well to show both the structure of network and result of epidemic simulations

I have done interactive exercises of infections spreading on networks. Students filled out surveys before class that I used to construct contact networks with different layers, and then simulated epidemics spreading on this network.

For example, I've been surprised that some field standards like @PLOSCompBiol have few papers on this topic and very slow turnaround, whereas for example @NatureHumBehav has some great papers appearing quickly (2/2)
