I met this friend on my walk this morning. Did you know that snails (and slugs) are beneficial in that they consume decomposing vegetation and then their waste nourishes the soil. I think they are fascinating to watch. My husband would argue that snails are definitely not friends.

Our baby girl is gone. My heart is broken. But I am grateful for the 11 years she loved us and brought our family together. 💔

How do you measure a relationship? We’ve been married 35 years today, but actually together nearly 38! Years of devotion, support, laughter, tears, teamwork, space, compassion, frustration, friendship, passion, love… We’ve built a life together and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Jeff and I saw Kamau Bell at the Aladdin Theater tonight! We laughed and cried and will forever think of Kamau when we hear Don’t Go Chasin’ Waterfalls! We’ve got a lot of work to do. 😬

Tonight I went to a gathering of creatives where we each brought our own supplies. We hung out painting and drawing, talking and connecting… It was great. I’m looking forward to the next one.

This gorgeous peony was in the staff room at school today. We only have 8 more days with students. I just might use this image for creative inspiration this summer. Looking forward to time to paint and create!
