Sock loopers are the what is left over loops from commercially made socks. These loops can be chained together and then used for weaving.

My current project measures about 3 1/2 pi.

I acquired a few hundred pounds of them and would gladly share with you if you’d like to try them. Let me know if you’d like to see pics of what I have.

The loops are hooked together. I was fortunate in that they were attached in a long chain when I purchased them from another weaver. I just cut the chain as needed when loading a shuttle. Then, when I start weaving with a new shuttle, I overlap the two chains and continue weaving.
