I might have to think about doing that too! Up until this point, I’ve just been focusing solely on poses for anatomy and proportion lessons.

But I think it’s a good sign that I’m kind of bored of it, it might mean I have a decent grasp of these things now 😄 It’s probably time to shift my focus!

Thank you for the advice guys 😄☺️ sometimes I get tunnel vision and need reminders of what else I can do haha.
I’m going to do more:
- group pieces (gets through my character idea backlog faster too!)
- art/colour challenges
- half ups and busts
- style experimentation
- dynamic/angled poses

Also, I love that sitting-around-a-fire idea. I might nab that for a Xenoblade 3 anniversary piece or something. And it’d also be a great way to practice lighting/rendering at different angles.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head! I‘m imagining poses that are more dynamic, and even poses that have props, and they sound much more interesting to draw. I also do have a group art coming out soon and, while it took a while to draw, it also broke the monotony. Also, more busts and half ups!

Honestly that’s a good shout. I might put that idea on board. I’ve got some challenges in mind too, like colour palette restrictions or changing up my Lineart. It‘s definitely a sign that I need to play around with different styles!

I’m especially bored of pinups like these. It’s like “same face syndrome” but for poses instead.
