So cool that “4 lanes to the planes” has been campaigned on repeatedly and never won the votes in Wellington but that this new council is getting in behind it. What a bunch of winners 🙄

This one time the lead singer, Nai Palm, of Hiatus Coyote gave me an American flag with Rocky Balboa on it for helping her unload her van.

Goodness what a treat it is to have a free sunny Saturday with my girl, to go a full house reset and plenty of mooching about.

Had been operating at such a frantic pace this last while, this off was hard to claim but so, so needed.

As soon as the new calendar dropped, I knew I wanted to talk to players caught up in the reshuffle.

So here’s the story of three of them, on the new hand they’ve been dealt. A huge thank you to all of them for sharing their thoughts with me.

It’s an end of an era with Allan Bunting stepping away from the Black Ferns.

IOC bullshit means I’m once again having to write about politics directly interfering with sport.

Send prayers for the upcoming nonsense in my DMs/mentions once published. And check on your trans mates cause every time this kicks off again, they’re subjected to the worst possible chat.

The last couple of years have not been great economically and yet I’ve managed to eke out a living as a contractor and next year is set to be my busiest yet.

So yeah. I am proud of me.

Saw someone ask - what was the first video game you remember owning?

Mine? Road Rash. I don’t think Dad had any idea what he bought me but out running cops and whipping other riders with chains to a Sound Garden soundtrack was iconic.

Also, definitely baby queer awakenings on this cut scene.

When they sent me the full line up of this event I was like, lol, I already know her. How fun.

Hello, the firefighters managed to raise $240,000!!! That’s enough to fund 3 new research projects for the Breast Cancer Cure.

Well done you thirsty bastards!

Alternate framing -
People learnt the impact of transmission during the pandemic and now are less likely to come in and get everyone else sick.

The Farah Palmer Cup is dropping to 12 teams next season and I’m going to blow your mind by saying, I might not hate this.

After completing beanie one last week, I realised I had memorised this fairly straight forward pattern so made another one. And now Bailey is making orders for all her fav colours.

My takeaways?

Wow, who would could possibly think people like progressive platforms rather than conservative compromise.

Ground game, every damn time. You have to get that vote to the polls.

With all the sexy calendar talk of the last week, I remembered that I probably still had the files somewhere for the sexy calendar my friends and I made for my mates 21st.

Turns out we were all very young and hot.

The general vibe towards coverage of teachers vs firefighters strikes feels gendered. Just saying.

You know that thing you do when you’re talking about someone and you need to check your phone to make sure it’s not calling them?

Well, Bailey’s phone just interrupted us to ask which of that person’s number it should call. TERRIFYING.

Watching some boy rugby for a change. Yellow boots ick. Why is one of the Irish jerseys looked ripped already? What is up with this turf??

What was your worst trick or treaters experience? Mine was the time we knocked our divorcee neighbours house and she gave us an orange and a tour of her house.
October 31, 2025 at 5:56 AM
Once again I have bought lollies for trick or treaters.

Lollies that I like for when they once again don’t come.

I think we have finally had enough media talking about “67” for it to no longer be a thing young people say.
October 31, 2025 at 12:21 AM
The best part about this photo was be saying - are you sure? I’m quite heavy (you bigger folk will know that fear) and then realising, I’m talking to professional firefighters. There couldn’t be safer hands.
I went to the launch last night and had a terrible time.
