to me it looks like the two ends are consistent and then it's random in between. Definitely hard for me to look at the unanimity among the 8 senators from the 4 left most states (VT, MD, MA, HI) and not think there's something going on

I'm kind of curious about the NYC vs. Oakland history because in Oakland the "progressive" candidate the past two elections did better in more Black parts of the city and the "centrist" candidate did better in whiter parts of the city
