The Writing Fellows made friendship bracelets this week and it was so wholesome:
- one of the girls drew out diagrams to help the others learn
- the boys took the process VERY seriously
- they were all amazed I didn’t need a pattern to help them (i had sleepovers in the 90s, of course I could help)

I don’t know what’s happening, but my students have managed to bring up the Amish every week in class. They are obsessed.

I have such a wild class this semester — we keep having discussions where they say things like “but what even is a soul??” and then we completely depart from my lesson plan.
